Latrobe Foundry – About Us
Latrobe, Pennsylvania based Latrobe Foundry (LF) was founded in 1933 by Louis C. Steiner and is a leading manufacturer of high-quality threaded and flanged aluminum pipe fittings and hardware.
Latrobe Foundry is a multi-location manufacturer and has an established product line that is used in a wide variety of businesses, including aerospace, agricultural, chemical, construction, PVF and marine industries. The company’s products are distributed by some of the largest suppliers in the industry such as McMaster Carr, MSC Industrial, Grainger, Ferguson and many more regional suppliers. Latrobe Foundry has a rich history in manufacturing including aluminum custom castings and finish machining.
Previously, Ted Steiner and Sally Shirey of Latrobe Foundry are the grandchildren of Louis C. Steiner and Michael Steiner Vice President is the great grandson of the founder Louis C. Steiner. Latrobe’s History can be found here.
In 2019 a second facility was opened up in Pasco, Washington by Michael Steiner (VP). More details to this west coast move and establishing a 2nd location can be found here.
In March 2024, Latrobe Foundry was acquired by Genesys Industries, Inc The acquisition includes Latrobe’s main facility in Latrobe and nearby facility in Whitney, PA, along with its Pasco, WA location that it opened in 2019. All 3 locations are now incorporated into the Genesys operations.
